Pause 4 Paws was established in 2011 with a mission of working to ensure that dogs and cats are treated with dignity and respect.  Pause 4 Paws is a volunteer run organization supported by a wonderful community of animal lovers. Beneficiary Organizations have saved over 31,000 dogs and cats and spayed or neutered more than 21,000 animals.  Pause 4 Paws (P4P) raises and distributes funds that support animal rescue programs’ efforts to:

• Provide medical care and spay/neuter clinics;

• Save lives by reducing animal euthanasia;

• Find "forever homes" for all dogs and cats; and

• Raise community awareness through public education and communication.

Pause 4 Paws supports 11 animal rescues and sanctuaries in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Most animal rescues are small, volunteer-based community organizations that do not have staff available to spend time fundraising. P4P works on behalf of these organizations.
